Microsoft Releases Kinect SDK To Public

Since the release of Microsoft’s Kinect, we’ve seen a deluge of very cool hacks and modifications done to the system, allowing for all sorts of cool uses for the motion control camera array. As promised, Microsoft is now embracing the hobbyist and indie Kinect community by releasing the Kinect SDK for free on the Internet.

Xbox 360’s Minecraft Developer Revealed

One of the stories out of Microsoft’s E3 press conference was that the cult hit was coming to the system with Kinect controls. Now original Minecraft developer Markus “Notch” Persson has revealed the developer, and possibly that the title is coming to XBLA.

During E3 last week, Microsoft unveiled Fable: The Journey, a new motion-controlled action/RPG for Kinect. The E3 demo left some with the impression that this title would be on rails, but Lionhead’s Peter Molyneux wants everyone to know that this isn’t true.
